The results of Grants by PACED 2024

We are thrilled to announce Yulia Streletskaya (Kazakhstan), an esteemed anaesthesiologist-reanimatologist and head of the Respiratory Support and Palliative Care Centre at the Public Fund "Өмірге сен," as the winner of our PROFESSIONAL MOBILITY GRANTS programme.

Our grant programme supports professionals in expanding their expertise through participation in global conferences and workshops, covering expenses like travel, accommodation, and registration.


Launched on January 29th, 2024, the initiative received a heartening response from the community, with 32 applications spanning eight countries. The meticulous evaluation process supported our commitment to advancing the education and practice of palliative care. Of these, 24 applications were deemed eligible, demonstrating the high caliber of submissions and the broad interest across the region.


The statistical breakdown of eligible applications reveals a diverse geographical distribution, underscoring the programme's broad reach and appeal:

  • Armenia and Kazakhstan, each contributing five applications (21% each),
  • Kyrgyzstan is leading with 12 applications (50%),
  • Latvia and Ukraine add one application to the mix (4% each).
